About Jamie Menczer, Horsewoman, and 3rd Generation Jeweler
Jamie Menczer, the owner of JamiesHorseJewelry, is an active horse woman who has been involved with horses— and jewelry— her whole life. Jamie is a 3rd generation jeweler. Her grandfather, Joseph Menczer opened a jewelry store on East Tremont Avenue in the Bronx, New York in the 1930's, and her father James (known as Jesse) continued in the family business. She worked at their store holidays and weekends while growing up.

How Did Jamie’s Horse Jewelry Come To Be?
When the internet came along, Jamie decided to combine her passion for horses with her knowledge and expertise in gorgeous, affordable jewelry! EVERY piece in her collection is selected with THOUGHTFUL care. EVERY piece is STERLING and the stones that many have added (like Turquoise) are quality, eye catching and made to endure with timeless beauty.

Meet Jamie’s Horses, Cici and Casey….
Jamie’s passion for her horses is obvious to all who know her. Says Jamie: "I rode as a kid. Riding lessons at a local stable, summer camp in the wilds of Connecticut run by an ex British Calvary Office. Jeepers was my first horse, an all black Appaloosa, the perfect horse as she was as my vet referred to her “a Momma horse”. She took care of me and patiently taught me the ways of horse. When she died, years later, I was devasted, as well Casey, the mini who had entered our lives a few years previously. Jeepers had viewed Casey as her foal, and he viewed her as his wife—complicated relationship. I promised him I would find him a new pasture mate. And I believe with all my heart that Jeepers found Cici for me. When I first met Cici I felt this immediate heart connection. I had gone out to look at her alone, much to the consternation of my trainer. When I got back my trainer asked me specifically about her feet. All I could say was, “She has four of them. But she has a huge heart!”

Cici is my best friend, my BFF. She does not view Casey as her foal, just someone who keeps hanging around, but who has to be supervised. I study dressage with Cici as a way to help her moving correctly and to be able to ride her for a long long time. And we trail ride where we both get to indulge our love of bushwacking—at the slightest excuse we are off the trails and tromping thru the underbrush, clambering over downed trees, splashing thru streams. Cici and Casey are out in a 20 acre field with open spaces, big Live Oaks for shade, a stream and what are called “hills” here in Florida. I love to go out and just hang out and graze along with them.
