How Did The ProWalk Come To Be? In 1984, we introduced the predecessor of our current design, and we still stock parts for any walker we've built since then. As time passed, we made modifications that improved the strength and longevity of our walkers. When Gary Tate bought Pro Walk in 1999, we offered two models: a single-speed, single-direction 4-horse walker, and a 6-horse walker.
