Finally A Real Solution For Horse Trailers!
In the past unscreened Living Quarters and Tack Room doors had to be completely changed out at a very high cost to be screened. Our screens retro-fit without a door change. Required mounting surface is small. 1-1/2" to 2" on the hinge side of the door and 1" on the closer side. We can install on a flat or flush floor and also to the step over bulkhead on most trailers.
Because our screens are rolled away and stored when not use is, the screen life is greatly extended. This eliminates catching the screen mesh with tack and equipment. Maintenance is simply a quick spray of Silicone on the upper and lower tracks when needed. Replacement mesh though rarely needed is available as a kit.
H ow Did "Screens For Trailers" Get Started?
Says owner Nancy Powell, "Screens For Trailers began in 1994 targeting the residential applications. We went to a Home and Garden Show in Orlando and there was a booth selling retractable screens. After trying them ourselves, we decided we wanted to carry the product. We could see this would be a tremendous benefit to horse owners for their horse trailers. Jim got on a plane and headed for Holland to the factory. We now have a large warehouse when we do our shipping from and have the rights to the United States Caribbean and Canada. Jim and I work in the office together, it works our very well. Our mission and goals are to provide a solution screening with a 5 star product for pre-existing doors without having to replace the complete door system. Our company is based just outside of Orlando. Our screens simply retracts into itself and is hidden form view, when not is use so that you may use it or tuck it away any time you wish!"
How Are Our Screens Different From The Competition?
With Screens For Trailers, the CUSTOMER can do the installation! This is a tremendous savings in both time and money—as you will not have to drive to your trailer dealer to pay them to install it! Screens For Trailers provides pre-measuring advice and mounting instructions via our toll free number of fax. Magnets are not used in any of our door closing systems. (Gusty winds can blow the screen off the magnet.) We use an adjustable stainless steel spring-loaded vinyl clamshell, which allows the consumer to adjust the tension in a windy area. Our screens have s site-line eye level and knee level. This line is a 1" band and consists of extra rows of screen tightly woven together. This shows there is a screen in use, preventing people from walking into the screen- like a butterfly decal on a sliding glass door. Our screen doors are offered in white, the most common color for door and window trim in the United States. Our screens are a very high demand driven product; once it's seen customers fall in love with it and must have it.
Are They Hard To Install?
No! Installation is easy and a tech line is provided. Our do it yourself mounting kit includes installation instructions, a toll free help-line and a threshold adapter enabling most handy-man types to install themselves. To our knowledge this is not offered by any other retractable screen company. Our screens are retrofitted and can be sized to height for custom fit, up to 8ft. residential doors.
