About Lisa...
Trainer/Clinician Lisa Bockholt doesn't believe in "whispering" when it comes to working with horses. "Why whisper, when you can learn something you can really shout about", says the petite red head, whose hair color matches that of her prized Appaloosa.
An accomplished speaker and author, Bockholt travels throughout the United States training, lecturing and demonstrating at horse expos and events. She specializes in working with new and/or inexperienced horse owners, or, those seeking to improve performance as well as the current relationship with their horse based on trust, respect, and communication. She is also a SELECT John Lyons Certified "Select" Trainer.
Bockholt has been featured on major television station news broadcasts throughout the country, and in local/regional publications as "The Horse Gazette", "Southwest Horse Trader Magazine", "Texas Horse Riders", "The Equestrian", the "Corpus Christi Caller-Times", "New Braunfels Herald", the "Houston Chronicle" and "San Antonio Express" News.
She is fast becoming well known and widely respected for her simple, common sense approach to horse training, which, she stresses requires no special talents, skills, ability or equipment. Bockholt offers clinics, demonstrations, problem solving sessions, foal training classes, riding lessons, internship & certification programs, and various types of private training programs including her popular "Stall & Strudel" Bed & Breakfast Personal Training Packages.
Bockholt is also one of few trainers who owns and demonstrates with a blind horse. Born and raised in Baltimore, MD, Bockholt currently resides in Kingsville, TX, with her husband, Jerry.
